Madonna and Child

I was looking for something to paint for my Christmas card one year and happened upon this statue that I got in Italy when I was in college. I have always loved it and decided it was the choice. I had some photos of snow covered holly which I used to surround the Madonna and Baby Jesus. Good choice, I think!
