Allyson

This is a monochromatic oil painting of my daughter, Allyson, done with Transparent Oxide Red thinned with Gamsol. I often do these as under paintings to work out the values correctly before beginning with full color. Occasionally I will leave the monochromatic study as the finished painting. Normally they take 2-3 hours.
