Nantahala 2

This scene of the Nantahala River is in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We were white water rafting with my brother and our "cousin" kids. He snapped this photograph which had marvelous complementary colors with the fall trees against the cool bluish-violet water and atmosphere. I have painted it twice, one in pastel and one in oil.  I love both although they are a bit different.
