Sunny Canal

This was an interesting new experiment . . . combining acrylic and pastels. I began by laying down a painting in thick acrylic. When it was completely dry, I added pastel by rubbing with the side over the rough, textured acrylic. Scumbling the pastels over the thick paint in different colors but similar values created some interesting variations in color and texture . . . a fun experiment!
