Brookgreen Summer

Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina is a beautiful place to visit . . . it is so "southern" with the beautiful Spanish moss adorning the huge trees.  This painting began as a thin wash of the actual colors that I saw and the proceeded to become more and more impressionistic as I added color with a palette knife. I loved the texture of this piece.
