Shells 2

I used to love setting up shells and painting them. I was always intrigued with the myriad of shell shapes that we found on the beach. No white is used in my watercolors, so painting the negative spaces behind the white, or light, shells and corals, emphasizes them. I used very soft, high key colors so that the painting wouldn't have too much contrast with the white shells.
