Deep Sea Splendor

This mixed media piece was begun with an acrylic background. I added to and enhanced the piece using miscellaneous papers, handmade papers, oriental fibers and strings applied with polymer medium along with acrylic paint, stamps and prints. This was an ongoing process of several layers that dried before the next layer was added or painted.   These mixed media pieces are always fun to do  . . .  I never quite know what I will end up with . . . it's always a surprise!  Very often, it turns out to be something underwater . . . surprised??
