The Yucca Patch

This is a painting of my Mom and Dad's Beach House at Tilghman (now North Myrtle) Beach in South Carolina.  My family spent many summers there, and it inspired many of the coastal paintings that I have done over the years. It was sold in the year 2000 . . . it is still there but not recognizable since it was totally remodeled.  We loved the "homey" little beach cottage that it used to be, with cedar paneling throughout . . . and yes . . . no air conditioning! . . . just a wonderful attic fan!  Can you see why I wanted to capture this memory forever?
