Seashell Still LIfe

I set up a small still life of seashells in my studio and began sketching and painting them. As I continued painting with pastels, I found that the sanded surface was quite rough and thus added an interesting texture to the painting. I chose to keep it quite loose and limited my palette of colors. I liked the way it turned out.
