Old Salem Barn

This was painted on location one crisp spring morning as I stood with my boxes of pastels straddling the curb on Main Street in Old Salem in Winston-Salem, NC. The yellow-gold barn was striking against the numerous shades of green. Painting so many greens is not appealing to many artists . . . but I took the challenge.
