Fisher Park

This scene with the little stone bridge is so typical as you stroll through Fisher Park in Greensboro, NC. I painted this on location one early spring day when the azaleas were in full bloom.  I did an undercoating with watercolor first, then applied a clear textured base over the watercolor so that the pastel would adhere to the surface. Lastly I added pastel over the textured surface in selected places, letting some of the water color show through.
