Salem Garden

This was a plein air painting done when I was at Old Salem, a Moravian settlement in Winston-Salem, NC. I was set up in the vegetable garden behind the tobacco shop and there was very little color. I love color, so when I spotted this little clump of flowers against the rustic fence, I knew what I would paint that morning.
