Winter trees

In this little watercolor painting, the trees were first painted with "Miskit," a masking medium and then the background was laid in over everything. While still wet, I pressed Saren Wrap over the whole painting , scrunching it up to create the background texture. When dry, the plastic wrap was removed and the masking medium was rubbed off. I then painted the trees and scratched some of the texture on the trees.
