This was a new charcoal technic that I tried — applying charcoal powder with a stiff Oriental brush that had the sizing still on it rather that drawing with a charcoal stick. This gives a very soft look without harsh lines. I love this drawing . . . it is my little Ally with those great big eyes. I feel like she is right there.
