Sisters

My favorite of all the portraits I have done — my little girls. I actually took the photograph for this years ago with plans to paint it someday. Thirty years later, I finally got around to it, and am I ever glad I did. A few weeks later, my older daughter died unexpectedly. I remember when I was painting it, how odd that I just captured her quickly without much effort . . . like it just painted itself. Did God do that for me? I think so, and how thankful I am to have this treasure!
