Crested

This was an experiment in watercolor as I wet the paper first, dropped inky brushstrokes of deep teal, greens and blues and then, while still wet, I sprinkled small dashes of salt onto the paper. It does the same thing it does to our salt shakers on a humid day — you guessed it . . .  absorbs the moisture, thus leaving, on the paper, little white spots resembling water spray. It was brushed off when dry and the rocks were painted in.
