Spring Awakens

Another class demo where I sat up a vase of flowers for the class to paint and thenshowed them how I do my "blob" flowers — I  don't draw them first, but just put a "blob" of the lightest color in the flowers of one kind. While it was still damp, I dropped in the next darker or mid-value, and finally the last or darkest one. Since wet, the colors would run and fuse together creating the softness you see in the flowers.  Often I would finish by accenting them using a very fine ink pen.
