Early Morning Serenity

This was a scene I photographed while hiking on the Appalachian trail in Virginia. It was near our hotel, and as I saw it early one morning as the sun was coming up, I was captivated by the beautiful early morning sunlight on that little sliver of land that's near the middle — just highlighting the focal point. It's simple, green and portrays an early morning peacefulness.
