Winter Pine

This winter landscape began as a watercolor painting some years ago. I discovered it recently and decided to enhance it with pastel. The rough texture of the paper along with the clear acrylic pastel ground that I applied to it made the process a bit challenging.  I love the warmth of the sunlit snow and brown tree contrasted with the cold winter colors of greens, violets and blues.
