Sunshine at Last

This winter landscape began as a 12x16 watercolor painting some years ago. I discovered it recently and decided to enhance it with pastel. The rough texture of the paper along with the clear acrylic pastel ground that I applied to it made the process a bit challenging.  Also, I wasn't pleased with the painting, for some reason, and decided to crop it to a square format. That seemed to be a better composition and focused more on the center of interest, the colorful sky in the distance.
