Red House in Winter

This winter landscape began as a watercolor painting some years ago. I discovered it recently and decided to enhance it with pastel. The rough texture of the paper along with the clear acrylic pastel ground that I applied to it made the process a bit challenging.  It was fun painting this as I enjoyed the warmth of the red building and sky contrasted with the cold winter colors.
