Autumn Treasures

The leaves you see were painted in watercolor and then cut out and arranged into a collage using oriental decorative papers and acrylic medium. When the large shapes of papers are in place, I enhance the piece with colored pencils, metallic watercolors and/or acrylic paint. Occasionally when I am working on one of these collages, I will add delicate and perhaps more textured and/or translucent papers to tie the piece together.  This technique is so much fun and has so many possibilities.
