Red Canoe

This piece was painted on location just outside Chapel Hill, NC. My eye was drawn to the little bright red boat parked on the edge of the lake which, of course, would be my center of interest. The surrounding trees of gold, yellow, orange and red leaves just accented the little boat and unified the painting. The reflections were spectacular!
